On December 12th, Topeka’s newest venue, 6th and Polk Live, will open its doors for more than music — it’s opening them for compassion. The six‑hour charity concert and community food drive will benefit local organizations Let’s Help and Doorstep, blending live performances with mutual aid to support families across Topeka.

A Night of Music and Mutual Aid
The lineup is stacked with local talent: EBONY TUSKS, Young Mvchetes, Maadcxmmander, JQuory, Yefta, RMW, Don Domingo, Amareed the Truth, Taber, Yung Bee, plus DJs Teczilla, Unii, and Soul Foo. Alongside the music, guests can enjoy raffles and merchandise sales, with Community Food Drive proceeds going directly to charity.
Kody Stadler said “We’ve been hard at work setting up a Community Food Drive Benefiting Let’s Help and Doorstep at 6th & Polk on 12/12 and now I’m stoked to share all the details below.

Share this far and wide. Young Mvchetes has been on a run of benefit gigs lately, and it became really important to me to ensure that we tapped into the home city. Growing up, food was never guaranteed and my family was often dependent on SNAP and food stamp benefits, so to be able to organize this event with Let’s Help, Doorstep, and everyone involved is an incredible feeling.
Thank you sincerely to all the artists and organizations who have offered their partnership, and I want to continue to encourage anyone wanting to donate art or business certificates for raffles or even just volunteer an extra hand to reach out to me or any organizers for information.

This is also a free event, so if you’re in the city, come kick it with us. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Let’s get it!”
What to Bring
Organizers are asking attendees to bring the most requested items for December:
Community Food Drive
- Meat (hotdogs, ground beef, chicken)
- Canned goods (pull‑top preferred)
- Dry goods, pasta, box meals
- Shelf‑stable or evaporated milk
- Peanut butter & jelly
- Ramen noodles
- Dog & cat food
- Household staples (flour, sugar, bread, baking soda)
- Hygiene items & winter clothing
A refrigerator and freezer will be on site to handle cold donations, ensuring every contribution reaches families in need.

Why It Matters
Food insecurity is a pressing issue in Topeka, especially during the winter months. By combining live music, raffles, and community giving, 6th and Polk Live is proving that a venue can be more than a stage — it can be a heartbeat of compassion. As organizers emphasize: “No one will be turned away for lack of funds — but donations guarantee entry.”
The Spirit of Topeka
This event sets the tone for 6th and Polk Live as a cultural hub where creativity meets community. It’s not just about filling pantries — it’s about filling hearts. On December 12th, Topeka will show that the loudest sound isn’t the bass, it’s the generosity of neighbors helping neighbors.
