CNN is showing body cam footage of Russian troops entering the town of Lyman Ukraine. The city is 60 km west of Servodonetsk. Russians took the city hall and planted a flag on its roof.
Over 43000 explosive devices have been found and destroyed by the Ukrainian armed forces The Russians left them everywhere according to a Ukrainian disposal officer. In homes yards forests in the woods everywhere in the Kyiv region.
The work is very dangerous and even while filming by a CNN crew one explosive device started smoking. It was finally disposed of The Ukrainians believe it could take 10 years to completely clear the area. (In Western Europe they are still finding expensive devices from WW1 and WW2.).
The UN has recorded 7,703,857 border crossings by refugees fleeing Ukraine. Most at first going to Poland then some moving to other countries. The UN says another 7.1 million people are internally displaced in Ukraine since the war started almost 4 months ago.
One group of Ukrainians in Egypt who were on vacation when the war started have remained there.
