“Aggravated Battery” ToMAYto, TomAAToe. The TPD and local media knows that “Aggravated Battery” doesnt sound as bad or dangerous (To real estate values) as “Attempted Murder” or “Someone got shot near to death” And we know that our pathetic DA’s office has all of their resources wrapped up in prosecuting an innocent woman for a crime she couldnt have possibly committed for the third time. So later on, a look through the records or archives will just show “Agg battery” and thats not all that scary….especially to anyone dumb enough to actually be considering moving to Topeka.
TOPEKA, Kan. – At approximately 6:36 p.m., TPD Officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of SE
Bellview Ave. on reports of gunshots. On arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from a lifethreatening gunshot wound. The victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. The
investigation is ongoing at this time.
