A female allegedly fired shots from a 4 door passenger car into the stomach of a male victim.


TOPEKA, Kan. – Topeka authorities are investigating yet another fatal shooting.

On Monday May 15, around 2 p.m., the Topeka Police Department (TPD) responded to a shooting in the 3500 block of SW Kerry Ave.

Upon arrival, TPD officers located a male suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. The individual eventually died from their injuries. The identity of the deceased will not be released until next of kin notifications have been made.

This is an ongoing story as TPD investigates the incident. Further details will be released as allowed. It will also be ongoing as the TPD rarely catches the perpetrators and continues to preserve the environment that fosters these kinds of shootings.

Upon arrival, officers located an individual suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. The
individual was taken to a local hospital to be treated for their injuries.
