The Topeka rescue Missions Dog And pony Show Continues. With WIBWs help
Oh look at the right-wing Copaganda “|”Not quite fake, but not quite the truth” news outfit WIBW carrying water for the corrupt rescue mission the same way they do for the corrupt police dept.
The rescue mission is being held up to examination, and it is far past time for that. And they are desperate to cover their asses as do as much high-profile Public Relations work as possibe….and of course WIBW, who gave PLENTy of free advertizing to homophobic Chick Fil A is right there to help.
While giving free school supplies to school kids is a nice and noble gesture, how does this help the homeless? How does this accomplish the rescue missions (stated) goals? How does this help some guy thats slipping into a downward spiral unable to claw his way out of a life in tent city?
There are dozens of other agencies and organizations that could be collecting and distributing these supplies for school kids. What other organizations did Barry Feaker and his minions sabotage and and unfairly usurp to get this gig? The YWCA? Harvesters? Salvation Army? Feaker is known for back-stabbing and fighting with any other organization that steps into “His” ring to try to fight homelessness and bring care and comfort to the homeless. All while Feaker throws out and bans anyone he thinks is LGBTQ (Plenty of reports on that) or that isnt “Praying right” or joining his little cult so they can get better food and services.
Feaker denies this, but plenty of rescue mission “guests” (Especially the ones feaker has kicked out) will tell you otherwise. Go ahead and ask….I dare you. While groups throughout the rest of the city are coming together to try to find real solutions and ways to deal with the unhoused population,
Feakers rescue mission is putting on the window dressing and these dog and pony shows and hoping that no one asks real questions or looks too deeply into his real estate holdings.
