92 Year Old Stabbed To Death Outside of Church On Sunday Morning.
Homicide Investigation Arrest
TOPEKA, Kan. – On August 13, 2023, at approximately 2:34 p.m., Officers from the Topeka
Police Department responded to 2500 BLK SE Ohio on a call for service regarding a stabbing.
Upon arrival, officers located the unresponsive adult individual, with life threating injuries. The
victim was found deceased by medical personnel, at the scene. The investigation is ongoing as
Officers and Detectives continue looking into the circumstances surrounding this event.

The deceased has been identified as Lois Brown, 92 years of age, of Topeka.
As a result of the investigation, Stephanie Miller, 43 years of age, of Topeka, was transported to
the Shawnee County Department of Corrections for the below listed charge:
